Who I Am
I was born and raised in Miami. Grew up in Ojus, spent years in Miami Lakes, and over time made my way through downtown, Brickell, and Little Havana. Miami shaped how I think about business, about people, and about finding opportunity where others see a mess.In 2012, I was selling cars at my father's dealership, making good money on paper but feeling completely trapped. Working every weekend, every holiday, with no real ownership over my time. I stumbled across a podcast about real estate wholesaling, borrowed money to learn from a local mentor, and three months later closed my first deal. That was it for me.Over the next decade, I built multiple businesses, hired over 350 salespeople, ran a mid-size organization, brought family into the business, went through partnerships that worked and ones that didn't, hit burnout hard enough to take a three-month break, came back with a completely different perspective, and kept going. 800+ deals and $100M+ in transactions later, I can honestly say the mistakes taught me more than the wins.A few years ago my business took a significant turn. I started focusing on a niche that very few investors even know exists: properties with dirty title. Deceased owners, unpaid taxes, disputed ownership, family disagreements, missing heirs. The kind of deals most investors walk away from before they even start. I walk toward them. I buy the interests, bring in great attorneys and title companies to clean everything up, and get the properties sold. We call it curative real estate. In the last ten months alone, my team has acquired close to 40 properties, paid over 100 individual heirs, and exited 10 deals with another 30 in the pipeline.
What I love most about this work is the moment we call someone who has been sitting on a problem property for years and tell them we can pay them within days. I think about a family we worked with recently, seven siblings, six of them desperate to sell their late mother's house that had been sitting vacant for years. We paid them out in three days. That kind of thing is why I do this.On a personal note, I am getting married this year and recently bought my own home. I am more calculated, more grateful, and honestly more hungry than I have ever been. I still make mistakes.
